Kelly is the founder of East London Pilates and has been a healthy, happy Pilates teacher and personal fitness trainer for over 20 years. Before she re-trained in the fitness industry, Kelly enjoyed a fast paced City career so understands how difficult it can be for the office worker to maintain good postural alignment.
Kelly, herself a keen runner, cycling and group exercise instructor, has found that incorporating the principles of Pilates into her other fitness work means that the risk of injury is reduced and technique is improved. She is passionate about the Pilates technique and believes that everyone can benefit from the matwork method.
She is based in Docklands and the City and currently teaches at Virgin Active, Reebok and within various corporate sites around the E1 and E14 area. Kelly is available for 1:1 PT, Pilates and Sports Massage sessions in the local East London area.
Zoe gained her Masters in Osteopathic Medicine in July 2010, her busy practice is based at the Reebok Sports Club in Canary Wharf. The British College of Osteopathic Medicine has since invited her back to the University to become a lecturer.
Having previously worked as a Sports Therapist Zoe combines her 15 years experience as a successful personal trainer with Polestar Pilates training to help clients achieve optimal performance, improve posture, manage chronic health and exercise rehabilitation.Zoe believes it is important that Pilates should be an individual experience in order to remove restrictions and restore correct function of the spine, improve breathing patterns and lengthen muscles, to create a stronger yet supple physique. Zoe's professional and caring nature make her a valuable part of the team and popular with participants.
Magda began her journey with corrective exercise and Pilates after experiencing a series of injuries from semi-professional sporting career at a young age as well as desk bound job.
She joined East London Pilates team in 2010 and is passionate about ELP approach to teaching.
Alongside her activities as a Pilates teacher Magda continued to develop her knowledge of Sports Massage and is now fully qualified BTEC level 5 Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist, operating a busy clinic at BP in Canary Wharf.
She believes that Pilates and Sports Massage are a perfect combination in correcting posture, relieving or managing pain, improving breathing and well being.
Magda is available for 1:1 Pilates in East London and City as well as Sports Massage in East London.
Danielle has been working in the fitness industry for the last 8 years after originally training as a Sports Therapist. She spends her time these days delivering pilates classes, one to one sessions as well as personal training in North London.
She is the newest member of the ELP team having trained in the Stott method of Pilates at the Central YMCA. So far her repertoire includes essential, intermediate and advanced levels of matwork, as well as ante and post natal and soon to include reformer work too.
Danielle believes that most people could benefit from pilates as it is extremely adaptable. Its appeal is wide ranging from young to old, and includes all walks of life from elite athletes all the way through to those returning from illness or injury.
Danielle's own training has most recently included preparing for marathons and 10km runs and makes pilates an essential part of her preparation.
Pilates can be for anyone and everyone.
Jessica's passion for movement began with studying ballet from a young age. She trained as an actress at Central School of Speech and Drama where movement was a large part of her everyday schedule. She now teachers both Pilates and Yoga all over London. She believes everyone can benefit from Pilates and encourages her clients to work hard but mindfully, tuning in to their bodies.
Jessica has a relaxed teaching style with a strong focus on alignment, breath and a strength/flexibility balance that leads to flowing, connected movement. She currently teaches for Third Space, Nuffield Health, The Curtain Club and has a number of corporate clients around London.
Jessica is available for one to one Pilates and yoga.
Ida May is a Finnish dancer, actor, movement director, international yoga and fitness instructor, as well as a personal trainer. Expect a wide variety of influences in her sessions.
Ida knows that at times one needs to STOP, BREATH and CONNECT. Find the attunement of the body, mind, breath and the beat of the music.
Kylie's passion for movement has continued through the years at college and university studying contemporary dance & musical theatre, eventually leading her to pursue a career in fitness. Pilates is a wonderful mode of exercise that provides a wealth of physical, mental and spiritual benefits.
When correct training volume, intensity and technique is applied, the benefits of Pilates may include; improved posture, balance, coordination, stronger pelvic floor, reduced lower back pain, reduced stress, and stronger immune system, amongst many more. Kylie is enthusiastic, approachable and passionate about the method and wider industry with a desire to continue her professional development.
Kylie teaches group classes all over London, as well as private classes in which her clients benefit from one to one support.
Fabiola Della Gatta
Fabiola is a precise, focused and fun Pilates Instructor. With the right care, patience and simplicity she can help students overcome physical and emotional hurdles. Her sessions aim to deliver immediate change and postural release. She has led group Pilates classes and 1:1 sessions for 13 years. She teaches through flowing sequences designed to increase muscular strength, flexibility and joint mobility. She is a warm motivator with an outgoing personality. She has an extensive knowledge of the Pilates method, key principles and practical application Fabiola is a Counsellor, Life Coach, Healer and Singer orientated to help clients to reach well-being
With a background in classical dance and financial background. When I quit the corporate world I knew I wanted to impact the world through yoga and mindfulness. I completed my 200 hour teacher training with Marianne Wells in Costa Rica, August 2017, and my teaching style is dynamic with a strong focus on breath and alignment. Additionally I also completed 90 hours training to become a Children's Yoga Teacher and go in to schools across London to bring Yoga and Mindfulness into the curriculum in a fun and playful manner. I most recently have completed my pre and post natal training and will be teaching Mum's to be as well as Mum and Baby Yoga.
I teach a variety of styles ranging from Vinyasa, Dynamic Vinyasa, Restorative and Kids and Teens Yoga. My goal is to make yoga accessible to all whilst focussing on using the breath to guide movement. Each class will be suitable for all levels from beginners to the more advanced yogi ensuring that the class is a fun and welcoming environment.
